Due to a birth deformity I’ve had trouble all my life finding proper shoes “off the rack” so to speak. I require very wide shoes and have found Zappos the only one where I can get comfort, convenience, satisfaction, savings and exactly what I need. This show recently purchased is most satisfactory. Kudos to Zappos and the various shoe manufacturers.
Another Great Propet! FINALLY! A pair of work boots comfortable enough to actually work in. This is my second pair of Propet�s and about my 5th or 6th pair of shoes from Zappos. I give high marks to both! Zappos always ships promptly and I have never had a problem with any of the shoes I purchased from them. I used to dread buying new shoes (hard to find/hard to fit) but now when I get the urge for new shoes, I just go to Zappos! My previous purchase of Propet shoes felt good right out of the box and got better from there. I expect much the same out of these. I just put on my new Cliff Walkers and while they were slightly stiff at first, after a brief trip to the grocery store, they feel fine now. It is really hard for me to find shoes to fit my wide foot (8EEEEE) but these feel great. These are even wide enough to wear with thick socks. Contrary to another buyer’s experience, there is no rub on my ankles. I recommend the Cliff Walker AND Zappos!
I recently bought these shoes for my husband who is 6′8″ and over 600lbs. He claims that they are very comfortable, the top of the shoe could use more support and that a slip resistant sole would be nice. That said, he loves them! It is extremely difficult to find shoes in his size and even harder to find shoes that fit right out of the box, and these were both. We will see how long they hold up.
Using this as a work boot - My husband doesn’t need a heavy duty work boot or steel toe, but is on his feet and walking all day around maintenance and construction sites. He likes the fit, a true 13 the EE is the step up from the regular width. Being a hiker, it’s got good support (his heels kill him if not) and the sole is stiff enough to support him on ladders and on uneven surfaces (he’s a big guy). Under these circumstances he gets about 6mos before the structure of the heels breaks down, but the surface of the boot holds up really well.
Propet Cliff Walker - I needed a good hiking boot for work, and I really liked the look of the Cliff Walker. I was a little leery about the lower cost of these boots, but decided to give them a try. Good choice! They were comfortable from the first time I put them on, and didn’t exacerbate an existing foot problem I have. I definitely recommend them. Great Boot- This is a very durable and lightweight low boot that clings to your feet where you need it the most. Without squeezing the toes, it hugs your lower foot and heel with a light but reassuring touch. I would certainly buy more of these shoes/boots.
Don’t judge a book by it’s cover! This shoe is very comfortable and great for working while standing on your feet all day. I don’t think it is particularly attractive because of it’s wide front area and the multileveled sole. I must wear dressier pants or skirts per employer’s guidelines, and this shoe would look better with jeans or casual pants, but I wear them with nice black dress slacks because they just feel so good. My back hurts at the end of my shift, but my feet still feel wonderful…lots of room for toes to move and wiggle.

Because of the way they hug the foot, the shoes don’t flop around loosely; they just feel roomier than normal. The shoes hug the foot snugly and comfortably without pinching anywhere. But that positive feature also carries a downside. Air does not get in there while you are wearing them, and there are no little vent holes to allow your toes to dry out if they get moist. But fortunately, these shoes are washable. Methinks they will need it.

It was hard to decide which color to choose, and perhaps I chose the wrong one for me — the black one. The streamlined pull on shoe look is cool for workouts or casual wear, but the shiny black leather just didn’t seem right for the style. And even tho I ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual, my big toe bumped the side and front of the shoe. Too small! And too shiny for a slipon. Perhaps I’ll try the brown nubuck next time.

The shoe has excellent support and stability for walking, but it doesn’t look or feel clunky. My latest pair arrived the day before we left for a vacation in New Mexico and Arizona. I put the shoes on as soon as they arrived and wore them the whole trip without a single blister. It stood up to walking in the desert with no problems at all. Plus, it does all this with style. I love the Velcro closures (great when you’re in a hurry–or lazy, like me). I have two pairs–white with berry trim and black. I’ll probably buy other Propet styles soon!
Love my velcro sneakers - I wear a 9 1/2 Narrow, and because I live in a small town, I have trouble finding shoes at all in my size. Sneakers with velcro instead of laces? No way. But I ordered Propet sneakers with velcro from Zappos. I love them. They have a good arch support, good cushioning, and are so easy to get into and out of. Thank goodness for Zappos.com!!! I love these guys!
Be careful if wide, swollen feet is the issue - I bought, and had to return, a pair of the Propet Tour Walker Pro Velcro. I wanted them to replace SAS Me Too Velcro shoes (which are twice the price) but the 7 /12 XX of SAS is wider by a fair margin than the Propet of the same size. Propets aren’t good if there is an edema issue; the velcro is not long enough to close around a fat foot. That said, the shoe is handsome and well-constructed, and if you don’t have a swelling issue they would be a smart buy. Zappos did the shipping and return with ZERO hassles, so they are a good merchant to work with. The Absolute Best~! I bought my second and third pair from Zappos and right out of the box took them for two weeks walking all over Japan! I very rarely find comfortable shoes, but these are like walking on air! I heartily recommend these for everyone!! You will not be sorry!!!
I ordered these shoes for my mother, and she loved them. She said they were very comfortable, and they look nice on. I was very pleased with the fast service–from the time I ordered until I got my shoes it was only 3 days. Great service and the shoes were exactly as they were described. super comfortable! I bought these shoes as a walking shoe right before going on vacation and without ever wearing them. They were perfect - comfortable and light for all kinds of walking and hours of wear! will most definitely order again. I am a customer from now on. Judy Okay . . . but - I really like the look of this shoe, but it is a bit uncomfortable and will have to be broken in. Maybe I should’ve gotten a wider pair because I have a bunion and the shoe’s side toe stitching really digs into it. Hopefully, I’ll be able to wear them after they’ve been broken in. Satisfied customer - This is my 4th pair, I go on a lot of bus trips & the walking tours are no problem for me and my propets. They clean up nicely with shoe polish and always look “like new”.
